Need a decent invoice app for occasional freelance work

I don’t send enough invoices to justify signing up for some massive accounting platform. Right now I’m doing them manually, which is fine until I need to dig up an old invoice or remember whether someone actually paid.

There have to be some simple options for people who only do this occasionally.

What are you using for invoices without all the extra accounting stuff?
