New here and already feel like I’m using the site wrong

I finally made an account after lurking for a while, and I genuinely don't know what the normal workflow is here.

Do everyday members actually leave comments on launches, or is that section mostly reserved for makers and their network? Should I upvote anything that looks cool, or save upvotes strictly for products I would genuinely use myself? Right now I'm just scrolling and clicking whatever catches my eye, but I keep worrying I'm missing some unwritten rule or etiquette.

Also, how is everyone catching the best launches so early? Every time I see a solid tool on the main page, it feels like the whole thread already happened hours ago and everyone moved on. Is there a trick to catching stuff earlier, or is it just about checking in at a specific time of day?

I'd love to hear how you actually use the platform once you get past the initial setup. What's the best way to jump in without overthinking it?
