Finding your first group of fans and solving the problem for that group through your product is absolutely essential before anything else IMO

The leader's unwavering enthusiasm and optimism are necessary, though perhaps not sufficient, conditions for the success of any project.

In my opinion, the most important factor in the success of a product is whether or not it meets a real need or solves a real problem for its target audience. If a product doesn't offer any real value or doesn't solve a problem that people actually have, it's unlikely to be successful in the long run. Another important factor is the user experience. A product that is easy to use, intuitive, and enjoyable to interact with is more likely to be successful than one that is confusing or frustrating to use. Marketing and promotion are also important factors in the success of a product. Even the best product won't be successful if people don't know about it. So, it's important to have a solid marketing strategy and to promote the product effectively to its target audience. Finally, continuous improvement is key to the success of a product. Products that are able to adapt and evolve over time based on customer feedback and changing market conditions are more likely to remain relevant and successful in the long run.

Creating something that solves a problem or improves/helps with a particular task and then being able to find your target audience and communicate with them. You can build the greatest product, if the people you built it for don't understand it or don't know about it, it won't work. So in a very simplified way, I think it's a combination of those two things.
