What questions do you have about A.I. that you're too embarrassed to ask?

by
Hi all. Sarah here, Head of Content @ Product Hunt. I'm starting up a new article series in our AI newsletter, Deeper Learning, called Ask Kitty. It's a place where you can ask the questions you've been wondering about A.I. but have been too shy to ask. Why? One thing I've learned about A.I. is that a lot of people in tech assume you know a lot of things, and very few people actually know the things (or know them in-depth enough to explain them simply). Sometimes this dynamic prevents us from asking questions. And asking questions is one of the best ways to reduce our knowledge gap. And yes, you could ask ChatGPT, but based on my experience you're unlikely to get the full context you need. Not only will I work to answer your questions, I'll work to find the right people to help me answer them! So ask away!

Hi

What do you think it will be the hybrid working scenario for designers, marketeers and developers when AI starts doing >50% of their work in 5years?

this is a fantastic initiative! One question I've always had is: How does AI handle context switching in conversations? It seems like a complex task for an AI to keep track of multiple topics and switch between them seamlessly. Looking forward to the "Ask Kitty" series for more insights! By the way, for those interested in enhancing productivity with AI, check out pdftopdf.ai. It's great for converting scanned PDFs into searchable text effortlessly.

Does AI necessarily have to be a LLM or GPT to be considered an AI? For example, if I program a twitter bot to automatically respond to tweets that contain the word "ChatGPT-4", is that classified as AI? The reason I ask this is because if the former case does constitute as an "AI", then we have had AI products for decades.

Hey there, it might not be embarrassing but I do have a zing of a question in my mind! Can AI lie or deceive people?
Ralph Maver
@nishchit14 It is does consistently. That is why it has to be prompted.

I hope my words will not be recorded in big data, and AI robots won't come to me for revenge in the future, lol. Can AI help me do housework?

Depending on the manner in which a question is presented by a user, AI is very prone to confirmation bias. In the process of doing research, how can the user detect whether or not this bias exists and how can this be combatted? It is clear that AI should not be a primary tool for research, but even when using it as an aid, this can present an issue.
