What tools do you use to create beautiful product screenshots?

Hi everyone 👋

I’ve been researching how founders and makers create beautiful screenshots for product launches, social media, and landing pages.

There are many tools available, but I’m curious what people actually use in their workflow.

Some questions:

  • What tool do you currently use?

  • What do you like about it?

  • What frustrates you the most?

Personally, I’ve found that many tools are either too complex or slow for quick marketing visuals.

Would love to hear how others approach this.

I usually go with Figma because my UI already lives there. It gives me full control, but honestly it takes more time than I would like when I just need something quick

I end up using Figma most of the time too mostly because everything already lives there but it does feel like overkill for quick visuals. For faster stuff, I’ve been experimenting with lighter tools like Raycast plugins or even basic templates. Feels like the real gap is between control and speed. Most tools give you one, not both. Curious what people here prioritize more in practice, speed or polish?

Spending three hours on a "quick" screenshot is the ultimate founder trap when you should be shipping instead. Most people lean on tools like CleanShot X or Xnapper just to avoid falling into a Figma rabbit hole of shadows and gradients. It’s wild how a simple crop becomes a whole project if the tool is too clunky! Do you usually go for "one-click" auto-beautifiers, or are you still a pixel-perfect Figma loyalist?
