Read "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius. Stoicism really helps putting perspective to life.
When emotions run high, Shruti, I find that stepping away for a brisk walk or meditating for a few minutes can work wonders. It doesn't always completely dispel the frustration, but it certainly helps to gain perspective and calm down.

When I'm feeling upset, Shruti, I find that stepping away for a brisk walk or meditating for a few minutes can really help to clear my mind. It doesn't work every single time, but it often brings a new perspective and calms the storm.

Lol this feeling is always knocking the door once I feel really great. What helps is: going out and just walking, playing with my pup, cooking, talking a shower, watching a movie or literally anything that helps to run away for a bit. So I can recharge and get back with new ideas and motivation.

I think about it, and I wouldn’t say that in such a situation you need to be distracted, you need to think and think through everything. Information processing is very important.
