If you adjust to trends and manage to "hack" algorithms, then you can easily go viral on TikTok. But it highllyyy depends on the product you are offering!
To be fair I've been recording daily videos about building Uniflow for the last 600 days and on tiktok I have 5 times more followers then on Youtube. Still, somehow I think the numbers are super low as after 600 daily videos on tiktok I have 150 and on Youtube 21... :D :D I do something definitely wrong, so maybe I am not the best person to answer that question then.

As a marketer, I strongly believe that any channel is good. Main point is to define ICPs and build solid CJM for each of your user cohorts and after that you will attract user through valid platforms.

Definitely TikTok. Engagement is significantly higher and it is easier to get people to your website. This statement applies to German and English-speaking countries.
YouTube for longer, informative content; TikTok for short, engaging, and trending content. Adapt to your audience.

Depends on your audience.
TikTok - to build brand awareness among a younger demographic, not the best for conversions. However, with the recently launched TikTok Shops, this migh change.
YouTube - when you want to advertise directly to your targeted audience using specific keywords and search intent. Great for B2B or B2C and converts well if your ad and CTA is done right.
