We lost a $50M deal. Here’s why—and what I learned.

A few years ago, while working full-time with an IT services firm, we lost a $50M deal with a leading telco in the GCC.

We had built early rapport with the head of their technical team.

So much so, we deployed senior solutioning leaders into their office for over a year.

Curious: biggest gaps you’ve felt in launch marketing (video/creative side)?

Hi all,

I m a commercial videographer who s been geeking out over SaaS and new tech for a while now. I m starting to explore how my background in video might fit into the SaaS world, and I d love to learn from people here who ve actually been through launches.

From what I ve seen so far, two common struggles seem to pop up:

Explaining the product clearly: A lot of SaaS landing pages or demos end up heavy on text but don t actually show how the product works in a way a new user gets it.

My first user's session was a series of fatal crashes. Telemetry saved my project.

Hey everyone,

After a week of getting decent views but almost no downloads, I finally saw a new user pop up in my PostHog dashboard. I was ecstatic.

Then I watched the session log in real-time.

Has anyone tried using Product Hunt to build their community here?

Hi everyone We had some good momentum and amazing customer support during our PH launch. Now I m exploring how to keep that momentum going and actually build a community here (instead of defaulting to Slack or Discord). How do you move beyond just initial discovery and engagement?

Has anyone tried using Product Hunt itself as the community hub for your product? Any tips on how to approach this?

I ve found this community very vibrant and helpful, especially if your ICP is early stage founders and builders. I d love to learn how others have deepened that connection and grown their community right here.

How we built a 400+ pattern library with $0 monthly spend (and saved a Super.so license)

Hi PH Community!

With the launch of PATTTTERNS v2.1, I wanted to share a behind-the-scenes look at the tech stack. As a solo maker and Design Ops Lead, my goal was to build something highly scalable but with zero monthly overhead.

Can anyone recommend an AI audio survey tool?

I'm looking for tools to help me brief clients and get their answers in voice format. Recently, I found @Yapz It really impressed me. Simple to use, the delightful format of briefing people, only a positive experience. The only downside is that I cannot see the whole call transcript, which is crucial for me. Are there any free/cheap AI alternatives that makes summaries of answers and saves transcripts at the same time?
