Are we building tools for creators, or tools for creation itself?

I started thinking about this after feeling frustrated with creative tools that limit experimentation through subscriptions, credits, and usage restrictions.

Then I discovered the local AI space, and it introduced another interesting tradeoff: having more ownership and control often means taking on more complexity.

How shifting from client work to SaaS changed our daily toolstack (and what stayed)

Hey Product Hunt community!

For years, operating as a software agency meant our team relied heavily on heavy-duty project management and custom workflows to meet client deadlines.

However, moving into building and testing our own Micro-SaaS pipeline forced us to simplify our stack drastically. Speed of execution and real-time user feedback became our top priorities.

Here are 3 core tools that became irreplaceable in our daily product-building workflow:

What are you shipping this week? Drop it here and stay accountable

New week means a new chance to ship that product or feature that's been on your mind. It's easier said than done though. Drop what you're aiming to ship this week, get advice from others and let's check back in on Friday and see your progress

For founders past the "just launched" phase, what actually worked to build real traction?

A few weeks post-launch here, and I've noticed a real gap between what I assumed would drive growth and what's actually happening. Cold outreach with genuine, specific research has worked better than expected. Directory listings have been mostly quiet. Community threads like this one, oddly, have produced some of the most genuine engagement.

Curious what this looked like for others further along than me. Not looking for generic "do content marketing" advice, more interested in the specific channel that surprised you, either working way better or worse than expected, or a moment you realized you'd been targeting the wrong kind of user entirely.

What actually moved the needle for you, versus what you thought would?

What did you find the first time you actually setup your funnel?

I finally set up proper conversion tracking this week. I had put it off for a fortnight because it felt like plumbing rather than progress. It took about an hour. The first thing it told me was that one of my funnel events has never fired. Not rarely. Never, not once in 28 days.People run a scan. People hit the gate. People hand over their email address to unlock the report. And then nobody clicks through to the app. The step I had assumed was the easy one, the one after they have already given me something, is where it stops dead. What makes it worth posting rather than just quietly fixing: I had spent the previous two weeks working on the top of the funnel. More traffic, better ad copy, keyword research. All of it aimed at a stage that was already working, because I had no way to see which stage was not.The part I keep turning over is that the absence of the event was the finding. Not a low number, a zero. A low number I would have argued with. A zero I could not.So, two questions. What did you find the first time you actually instrumented something? And had you been working on the right part of the product before you looked?
