At this point in 2026 if you don't have an AI stack, it's hard to imagine how you work. I talk to a lot of founders regularly and one common question i ask out of curiosity: What AI tool do you have in your stack?
And these are the five most common AI tools i keep seeing on early stage founders stack:

1. Superhuman

Even after Grammarly bought Superhuman it is still the fastest way i know to empty an inbox. Shortcuts for triage, reply, and mark as done mean i rarely touch the mouse. That's most of an hour back on a heavy day.

I m always on the lookout for those aha moments where a product nails the timing, design, or simplicity so well it just clicks.

A comment on my last thread made me rethink how confirmation should work in AI agents.

Someone asked:

If I ve approved the same action 20 times, why should the agent keep asking?

That feels obvious at first.

I've been watching teams ship AI-generated code faster than ever, which is great until six months in, someone needs to fix a bug in a function that no human wrote and nobody fully understands.

The problem isn't that AI code is inherently unmaintainable. It's that when you're moving fast, it's easy to skip the review rigor that keeps any codebase healthy. AI-generated functions can work perfectly on day one and become a liability on day 180 when requirements shift.

I'm curious how people are actually handling this in practice. Are you enforcing stricter code review for AI contributions? Adding extra documentation? Refactoring generated code immediately into your team's style before it gets committed? Or does it depend entirely on what the AI was asked to generate in the first place?

I audited my own navigation this week and found the same destination reachable under three different names. In a banner near the top it's a hard technical label. In the footer it's warm and studio-ish. In the header it's the word people expect when there's an account involved.

None of that was a decision. Each one got written in the context of the page it sits on, months apart, and each is arguably right where it stands. The technical label is honest about what the thing actually is. The warm one is more inviting to somebody who hasn't committed to anything. The account-shaped one is the least ambiguous if you already have a login.

What I looked at:

Standardise on one label everywhere. Cheapest to do, and it makes the analytics readable right now I cannot tell you which phrasing gets clicked, because they fire as three separate events with three different names. Cost: whichever word wins will be wrong for at least one of the three contexts.

You can't test a price nobody is able to pay. That's the bit I keep running into the number is up, the button doesn't charge anyone, and I have no way to tell what it's doing.

I put pricing live before payments were open, with an email-capture button where checkout will eventually go. Three options were on the table and I've been second-guessing the one I picked.

Hiding the price entirely. Cheapest thing to build, but it moves the whole conversation to "is this going to be expensive," and I lose the people who'd have been fine with the number.

Showing a range. Felt honest until I tried to write it down. Any range wide enough to be safe is too wide to be useful, and narrowing it is committing to a price with extra steps.

Been submitting to the usual directories (AlternativeTo, StartupRanking, etc.) and just had a good discussion in another thread about how a lot of the paid "guaranteed top 3" directory badges are nofollow anyway so you clear their conditions and still get zero SEO value out of it.

No paid ads here, so backlinks have to come from somewhere real: guest posts, being mentioned in a roundup, someone linking to a tool because it was actually useful to them.

Running into an interesting problem: a tool I've been working on could honestly go under Developer Tools or Accounting, and the two audiences barely overlap. Developers care about the architecture, the local-first setup, the permission model. Accountants and bookkeepers care about whether it actually solves their Monday morning problem.

Picking one category feels like picking who sees the product first, and maybe who never finds it at all.

Curious how others have handled this. Do you go with the category where your actual users are, even if it undersells the technical side? Go broader and hope curators sort it out? Or launch differently on different channels depending on the audience?

We've been launching stuff on Product Hunt since last year, and like everyone else, I hit up old friends asking for support. You know how it goes.

Anyway, I met up with a few of them recently and they started thanking me. I'm sitting there thinking "aw that's sweet, they liked our product!"

But nope. They were thanking me for introducing them to Product Hunt itself. Apparently they've been addicted to it ever since, checking it daily for new AI tools.
