Hi Product Hunt! đź‘‹
I’m Thibault, the maker of Genlook.

I built Genlook to solve a simple but frustrating problem: loving a piece of clothing online but having no idea how it will actually look on me.

Genlook is a Shopify app that brings the fitting room to the browser. It uses generative AI (specifically Google's new VTO model) to realistically drape clothing onto a user's photo, preserving shadows, folds, and textures.

How it works:

  1. Upload: Shoppers upload a photo of themselves directly on the product page.

  1. Generate: The AI takes the product image and the user's photo to create a realistic try-on in seconds.

  1. Preview: Users can see exactly how the item fits their body type before buying.

We’ve already seen some interesting data from early stores (conversion rates jumped significantly for users who engaged with the try-on), and I'm excited to see where this tech goes.

I’d love to hear your feedback or answer any questions about how we built it

This is incredibly powerful for Shopify merchants—a 35% conversion lift for engaged users solves the core "will it look good on me?" anxiety that plagues online clothing sales. Using Google's VTO model to preserve shadows and texture is a smart technical choice.

A strategic question: As you target Shopify store owners, are you finding more traction with smaller boutique brands or with established mid-market merchants who have the resources to implement and promote a feature like this?

(I ask because I specialize in helping B2B SaaS tools connect with e-commerce founders and marketing teams on LinkedIn—where store optimization and conversion rate discussions are happening daily.)

@olajiggy321 Well both niche have equal traction for the moment, all store under 500k$/month is a good prospect

Got it. That's a focused sweet spot—stores scaling past $500K/month are ready to invest in conversion tools.

Here's a concrete idea: A LinkedIn campaign targeting Shopify store owners with the headline 'Stop losing sales to fitting room anxiety.' The ad would lead to a case study page highlighting your 35% conversion lift and feature a quick video demo of Genlook in action.

I'm happy to draft up the specific targeting and ad variations if you're curious to see how it could look. Just let me know the best way to share it with you.

Hey Thibault, circling back. Had a quick thought—I mocked up what a LinkedIn campaign targeting Shopify store owners under $500K/mo (using your 35% conversion lift stat) could look like for Genlook. Happy to share it over email if useful. No call needed—just something to glance at.
