Do You Actually Trust YouTube Comments When Deciding What to Change?

by

I’m curious how other creators really do this.

After uploading a video, comments usually fall into buckets like:

  • “Loved it!”

  • “This was boring”

  • “Your intro needs work”

  • Random arguments between viewers

But when you’re done reading them all, the real question still remains:

What should I actually change in my next video?

Do you:

  • Look for repeated phrases?

  • Focus only on negative comments?

  • Ignore comments completely and trust retention graphs?

  • Or just go with gut feeling?

I’m asking because this exact confusion pushed me to build GetSentimate, and before launch I want to understand how real creators deal with this today.

No pitching here — genuinely want to learn.

How do you turn comments into decisions?
