Maker Story: How We Launched GraphBit and Became #2 Product of the Day
Launching on Product Hunt has always felt like a rite of passage for builders — and on September 14, our team finally took that leap with GraphBit, our agentic AI framework built with Rust and Python.
What made this special? It was our first-ever Product Hunt launch.
No legacy audience.
No prior community presence.
Just a small, focused team and one week to prepare.
Halfway through, we thought we may need a hunter to build our credibility as we were completely new in PH. Within two days, we found an incredible Hunter who believed in what we were building and advised us for going live: @byalexai
The Challenge
Our top competitor that day was a Product Hunt veteran — multiple successful launches, a strong community, and years of brand presence.
GraphBit, on the other hand, was completely new.
Still, we decided to go all in.
By the end of the day, we had secured #2 Product of the Day, just ~50 upvotes behind #1.
The Results
655 upvotes
36 five-star reviews from real community members
1.4K new followers directly on Product Hunt
1,200+ new website visitors
200 GitHub stars in the first week
High-quality feedback from developers, AI founders, and early adopters
Got response from a few Giant Company to collaborate.
What We Learned
1️⃣ Community First: Real conversations > mass outreach.
2️⃣ Preparation Pays Off: Strong visuals, docs, and story made a difference.
3️⃣ Fresh Accounts Can Compete: Even without followers, real value stands out.
4️⃣ Reviews Build Trust: Those 36 reviews built more credibility than any ad could.
5️⃣ Hunters Matter: Getting featured changed everything and we made it happen in 48 hours.
What’s Next
The launch was just the beginning. We’re now focused on:
Growing our GitHub community (stars, forks, contributors)- https://github.com/InfinitiBit/graphbit/
Hosting hackathons and webinars for AI engineers
Partnering with enterprises that need reliability, scale, and speed
Building GraphBit Cloud, where anyone can build, buy, and sell their own agentic AI workflows
It’s been humbling to see the support we received from the Product Hunt community.
For a small team with no legacy footprint, this journey proved that authenticity and real value still speak the loudest.

I came here to learn how/when to announce a launch- and am starting from scratch- and reading your story was the voice of encouragement I needed. Jen, Co-Founder Standards-Core
