GrooveRay - Share playlists and create your own crowd-sourced stations

by
GrooveRay is a crowd-sourced music app. You can upload your own audio files or add tracks from YouTube. Create stations, add songs to the queue, and upvote; the queue is sorted by votes, so the most upvoted track plays next, with real-time updates.

I built GrooveRay because I feel like the options today (e.g., Pandora, Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) are missing a lot of features I used to have in Grooveshark. It also seems like there isn't much freedom for user expression on these platforms. I also often find that I am at a party and we have to keep requesting songs from the DJ, and then it isn't always what everyone wanted. Crowd-sourced stations are a great use case for this. Or if you just want a preset playlist for your party, you can just use playlists. I also love discovering new music that is similar to what I like, and human-curated is so much better than AI or automated online radio (e.g., Pandora, Spotify, etc.). With crowd-sourced stations, you can listen to music you love, discover new, similar music, and find a community of similarly-minded fans.
