After seeing how poorly all sorts of institutions, especially universities, manage attendance, we just had to take the leap. We figured: let’s make it fast → QR codes. But then we realized some teachers already use those → So what problems do they face? The biggest complaint was students checking in from home because they received the QR code in a group chat. Our fix? You have to be physically near the QR code to check in, and one device can only check in one person per class/event. Next, we focused on reducing friction and got the check-in time down to well under 5 seconds. That’s how we approached the attendance problem. Do you think we missed something?
