Hi Product Hunt - I'm Pio, one of the makers behind Intake. We built Intake because too many firms still collect sensitive client documents, answers, approvals, and signatures through email. The upload itself was only half the problem. Teams still had to chase missing items, explain what was still outstanding, and reconstruct the audit trail later. Intake turns that into one secure request record. You send one branded portal link, the client completes it without creating an account, and your team reviews each item with access controls and activity history attached. Password and OTP protection are built in, encrypted uploads are available for sensitive requests, and the workflow can carry through review and sign-off on the same record. We built it for teams that repeat this process all the time, especially accounting, legal, advisory, and compliance-heavy firms. If you have a workflow like this, I would love to hear: 1. What part of your current client collection flow still happens in email? 2. What would make a secure request portal easier for your clients to complete? 3. Which matters more in your workflow: low client friction, tighter security, or a better audit trail?

Since someone will ask: Here's how Intake sits alongside the tools you probably already know:

vs @Content Snare β€” Content Snare is great for collection. Intake adds encrypted uploads, OTP-protected portals, and a review-to-sign-off workflow on the same record. If security and audit trail matter to your firm, that's where we differ. Full comparison β†’

vs @ShareFile / @SmartVault β€” Enterprise-grade platforms with enterprise-grade complexity and pricing. Intake is built for teams that want the security without the six-week onboarding process. ShareFile comparison β†’ Β· SmartVault comparison β†’

vs Google Drive / @Notion β€” These are storage and workspace tools, not client request workflows. No structured requests, no access expiry, no per-item review, no audit trail of who viewed what and when. A shared folder isn't an intake process. Google Drive comparison β†’

vs Email β€” If you're still here, you already know the problem. Email comparison β†’

We're not trying to be the biggest platform. We're trying to be the cleanest secure request workflow for firms that collect sensitive client information.

If you're currently using any of these and it's working (or not working), I'd genuinely like to hear what your experience has been. That kind of feedback shapes what we build next.
