Messenger Platform 2.0 - Discovery, chat extensions, and richer experiences

Been waiting for some added value on the Messenger side of things, versus the IM offering. Looks like it's high time to hack a thing or two on the platform.

I'm excited about the development of bot platforms, there's a lot of potential in bots (and already a lot of wonderful use cases). I feel bots are an answer to the app for everything problem we have right now. It's way too cumbersome to download an app, create an account, go through onboarding just to accomplish a one-off task. Bots leverage an existing account, save mobile data/phone storage, and have a consistent UX. Adding more functionality will greatly improve the problems they're able to solve! On another note, totally wish the design kit existed a few months ago when I had to recreate all the messenger components in sketch for a project.

I really don't understand how a Facebook product such as this can end up on the main page of PH?
