Bridging the Gap Between Efficiency and Insight: A Maker’s Journey from the Heart of Istanbul
Hello, Product Hunt community!
I’m Alican Ataseven, an independent developer and maker based in Istanbul. Like many of you here, I am driven by a simple but powerful philosophy: if a process feels repetitive, friction-heavy, or mathematically vague, there is a tool waiting to be built to fix it. Living in a city that literally bridges two continents, I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of creating "bridges" in the digital world—tools that connect users to the data and clarity they need to make better decisions.
The Philosophy Behind the Build
My journey into the world of indie hacking didn’t start with a desire to build "the next big thing." It started with a desire to solve "the next small frustration." In the fast-paced world of digital work, we often find ourselves juggling dozens of subscriptions and struggling with the nuances of global collaboration. My work is focused on stripping away that noise and providing lean, high-utility solutions.
Redefining Value and Time
Currently, I am focusing my energy on two main pillars of the modern digital workspace: Financial Intelligence and Global Coordination.
Maximizing Digital Investments: We live in the era of "SaaS fatigue." Every team and individual creator is subscribed to a dozen different platforms, but how many of us actually know if those tools are paying for themselves? I developed tool roi to help users move beyond "gut feelings" and provide creators with a data-driven way to see which parts of their tech stack are driving growth and which are just draining the budget. It’s about making every dollar in your workflow count.
Mastering the Global Clock: As the world becomes increasingly remote and borderless, the "When?" becomes just as important as the "What?" and "How?" I noticed a persistent friction in how we handle timezones and scheduling across different regions. To solve this, I built what time, a streamlined interface that simplifies time management for global teams. It’s a tool designed for those who work across borders but want to spend less time calculating offsets and more time actually collaborating.
Why I’m Here
Product Hunt has always been a source of inspiration for me—a place where logic meets creativity. Being a maker in Istanbul provides a unique perspective; it’s a hub of constant movement and diverse challenges. I’m here to contribute to this global ecosystem, share what I’ve learned while building these projects, and most importantly, learn from this incredible community.
I believe that the best tools are the ones that disappear into your workflow because they work so seamlessly. Whether I’m analyzing the ROI of a complex software suite with tool roi or helping a freelancer in New York sync with a developer in Tokyo using what time, my mission remains the same: Build simple. Solve clearly.
I’m thrilled to be part of this community and would love to connect with fellow makers, SEO enthusiasts, and anyone passionate about building a more efficient web.
Let’s build something great together!
