Figma vs Reality! Why your "Original Vision" is usually a lie.
Hi PH!
I’m a UI/UX designer with a CS background, and I’ve finally realized that my first product vision was basically just a beautiful hallucination.
When I started building Bunzee and Business GPT, I treated my initial target audience like a sacred, pixel-perfect mockup. But the market has a funny way of punching your ego in the face. I’ve learned that the people you think you’re building for on day one are rarely the ones who actually pay the bills. Pivoting isn’t a sign of failure or a lack of focus; it’s just the product finally waking up to reality. I’m learning to stop being a "Vision Protector" and start being a "Market Listener," even if it means throwing my first 50 mockups in the trash to follow where the real friction is.
Have you ever started a project for one specific niche and ended up with a completely different crowd?
