For the Love of Coffee, Tech and Travel.

by

Hey Product Hunt, I'm Michael.

After a long spell of searching, I finally found a way to combine my passions for coffee, tech, and travel while tackling a real problem in a massive market.

I'm a solo founder building something I wish had existed years ago.

I'm here to meet advisors, developers, designers, and fellow builders who believe in creating products from genuine passion rather than just chasing trends.

Let's connect,

Michael

Hey Product Hunt community,

Quick update on where we're headed. I just made the classic founder move and completely pivoted our app.
The rewards concept we were building?
It failed my own install test.
I kept asking myself: would I actually keep this on my phone? The honest answer was no.

Here's what changed my mind: I've been watching the digital nomad space explode to over 35 million people, and there's a massive gap nobody's really solving. Sure, there are apps to find coffee shops and apps to swipe through profiles, but nothing that actually helps you make the connections that matter when you're working from a new city every few months.

So we're building something different.
Think of it as the missing piece for remote workers who need to find their people, not just their next workspace. Whether you're hunting for a co-founder in Lisbon, need a reliable developer while you're stuck in Bangkok, or just want to grab coffee with someone who won't pitch you their crypto project, we're focused on real connections with clear intent.

The concept is simple: combine location discovery with social discovery. Find great places to work AND the right people to work with. No endless swiping, no fake networking events, just straightforward introductions based on what you're actually looking for.

The nomad community has been underserved for too long.

I'm curious about your experiences:

  • When you're working from a new city, how do you currently find collaborators or even just decent people to grab lunch with?

  • What's the weirdest or most unexpected place you've made a valuable business connection?

  • If you could design the perfect feature for meeting the right people while traveling, what would it be?

  • Should we focus on business connections first, or is there equal demand for just finding solid people to hang out with?

Drop a comment if this resonates with your experience or if you think I'm completely missing the mark.
Always interested in hearing from people who've actually lived this problem

@lattecino Love this idea. I think we're a little bit in the same 'space' with what I'm trying to achieve with koffie.work. Let me know if you want to connect. :)
