From C++ Logic to SaaS Builder: A Student’s Journey
Hi Product Hunt community!
I’ve been a long-time lurker, but I’m finally stepping out to introduce myself. I’m currently a Computer Science student at Banha University, and my journey into tech has been a bit of a logic-first adventure.
I started deep in the weeds with C++ programming logic, which gave me a solid foundation for problem-solving. However, I recently fell in love with the immediate impact of the web specifically, how we can use HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to transform complex designs into seamless user experiences.
What I’m currently focused on: I’m obsessed with the SaaS movement and building integrated web applications that solve real-world problems. My goal is to bridge the gap between heavy backend logic and premium, minimalist frontend design.
I’d love to hear from the community:
For those who started with low-level languages (like C++ or Java), what was the hardest part of transitioning to modern web frameworks?
What are your favorite resources for keeping up with UI/UX trends while staying focused on the code?
I’m looking to connect with more Makers who are building in public. I’m quite active on LinkedIn where I share my project updates and technical learnings: LinkedIn
Let's connect I'd love to follow your building journey as well!

Hey Basem...love hearing your journey from C++ logic to SaaS building...as a dev who built my own tool (The Sponge...an AI flashcard app that turns webpages into spaced repetition study material) I totally get that shift. The hardest part for me was letting go of over-engineering everything...web frameworks make iteration so much faster.
For UI/UX while coding...honestly I just lean on AI more than myself these days lol.
Excited to follow your builds...if you're up for it I'm launching on PH soon...would appreciate a follow (link in profile)!
