Happy to be here! Turning a goal-setting framework into an app
Hi everyone! I’m Stephanie, and I’m excited to be here.
I’m a product leader, educator, and the founder of G.A.M.E.R., a goal and habit app that is currently under review with Apple.
This project started from a frustration I had with traditional SMART goals. I appreciated the structure, but I kept feeling like something was missing -- especially the part that helps people actually turn a goal into an action plan they can follow in real life. That led me to create the G.A.M.E.R. framework, which adds more of the practical structure, motivation, and follow-through piece that I felt was often missing.
I first turned the framework into a journal for students. Over time, I saw it resonate not only there, but also in my own life. It became especially meaningful as I used it to help support my daughter, then began using it more intentionally myself, and later started sharing it with colleagues and my team at work. Little by little, that grew into a bigger vision: creating an app built around the framework.
So while G.A.M.E.R. may look like a goal or habit tracker on the surface, the heart of it is really about helping people move from intention to action in a way that feels more motivating, more practical, and more sustainable.
My plan is to launch the app free initially so I can learn from real users, understand what people actually find most valuable, and eventually discover which features people might be willing to pay for if I introduce a subscription layer later.
I’m here to learn, share, and connect with others who are building thoughtful products. Looking forward to being part of the community!
