After publishing over 20 papers and while I was working on my doctoral thesis, I realised how time-consuming it is to read volumes of research papers. It is even more challenging when doing systematic literature reviews; hence, we built GraceLitRev.com, an AI-powered research assistant tool that lets users upload research papers, extract 28 metadata variables, generate downloadable graphs, and export data to MS Excel, JSON, BibTeX and RIS files.

GraceLitRev helps researchers quickly identify gaps in theory, methodology, data analysis, and future studies. Unlike other research tools that search the internet without user control, our tool gives users full control: upload your documents, review extracted data, and generate themes. It doesn’t write for you but saves hours of reading by extracting key information.

With this tool, users can focus on writing rather than spending countless hours reading large volumes of papers. For instance, I am currently conducting a systematic review involving 106 papers that I extracted and screened from Scopus and Web of Science. Using this tool, I was able to extract 28 variables from all 106 papers in just two days. I also used it during the literature review stage of my doctoral thesis, which included 51 papers for a systematic review. That chapter was highly commended by all three examiners, as the identified research gaps - covering theoretical frameworks, methodologies, and data analysis techniques - were clearly articulated.
