Hi PH! Before you spend another hour applying, is the job worth it? Meet SBMark đź‘‹

by•

Hi Product Hunt! I’m Bukky, a product leader and founder of SBMark.

Job seekers are told to apply to more jobs. Employers are overwhelmed with more applications. Yet both sides still struggle with the same question: Is this actually a good fit?

That’s why I’m building SBMark. Our starting point is simple: Check before you apply. Share a job description with MARK, our AI career partner, and see how your experience stacks up, what evidence supports your fit, and what needs strengthening, with a recommendation to Apply, Strengthen first, or Skip.

The goal is to spend less time chasing roles that don’t fit and put more effort into the ones that do.

For employers, the promise is “Skip the pile.” Post for free and get up to three interested candidates, with the evidence behind each recommendation and the gaps worth exploring in an interview.

We launch November 21, and I’d love your honest feedback: What would you need to see to trust a recommendation to apply or walk away?

Welcome, Bukky! To trust a Skip I would need the evidence quoted, not paraphrased: the exact line from my CV and the exact line from the job post that do not meet. A trick from my own product that might transfer: when a model compares sung lyrics to the written ones, it answers with line numbers, and code copies the original text verbatim. The model never gets to retype the source, so it cannot quietly reword it. If MARK cites by reference and your code shows the real lines, a wrong recommendation becomes easy to spot, and that is what makes a right one believable. Good luck on the 21st!
