Hi Product Hunt! Looking for advice on marketing our upcoming launch

I’m new here, and I’m part of the team behind EzyCommunity, a new community/forum platform we’re getting ready to launch.

We’re at the stage where the product is coming together, and now we’re thinking seriously about something that I know many Makers struggle with, "how to actually get the right people to discover and try your product?"

We’re planning our Product Hunt launch soon, and I’d love to learn from people here who have launched products before.

For those of you who have been through a launch, what marketing strategies actually worked for you?

A few things I’m particularly curious about:

• How did you build awareness before launch day?

• Which channels brought you your first meaningful users?

• What would you do differently if you were launching again?

• How important was having an existing audience or community?

• What are some common mistakes first-time Makers should avoid?
