New to Product Hunt — quick question for founders launching broad platforms
Hey Product Hunt!
I’m Terry, a founder building in the AI + creator space.
I’m preparing to launch ContentRealm, a creator operating system designed to replace a stack of tools (video, image, voice, clips, planning, and scheduling) with one unified platform. This isn’t a quick experiment — it’s something we’ve been actively building and using.
Before launching, I’d love perspective from builders who’ve done this before.
Question for experienced Product Hunt founders:
If you were launching a broad platform (not a single-feature tool) today, what would you focus on most for Product Hunt?
One clear use case vs. the full vision?
Narrow audience vs. broad creators?
Education vs. immediate “wow” on launch day?
For context, ContentRealm grew out of building tools for professional speakers, and we quickly realized the same problems exist across creators everywhere: too many tools and fragmented workflows.
I’m here to learn, contribute, and support other makers.
Appreciate any insight—and excited to be part of the community.

Hi Terrance, congrats on your upcoming launch! I wouldn't overthink your launch, especially if you're in the creator space as while many people on PH might be makers, they might not be your target audience.
Our app probably talks to a similar audience as yours, we're an audience engagement tool for presenters and found that PH launches generate a lot of window shoppers and signups but few active users. (The same goes for advertising in AI newsletters - lots of people who love AI, not a lot of people who need your specific AI).
When we launch new add-ons or integrations we do launches around that new feature.
@peterclaridge thank you; I really appreciate that insight, and it aligns with a lot of what I’ve been seeing and sensing as well.
That distinction you made between interest and need is an important one. It’s easy to get caught up in visibility metrics, but active users and real adoption matter far more than raw signups. Your point about PH and AI newsletters attracting a lot of curious builders versus actual buyers is especially helpful.
I’m aiming to keep this first rollout focused and practical, with the expectation that future feature-specific launches will do the heavier lifting as the product matures and usage patterns become clearer.
Thanks again for sharing your experience.
