SEO Manager & Developer: Why I started building tools for my interns
Hi Product Hunt community! 👋
I’m Alimam Miya, and I’ve spent the last 6+ years deep in the world of Search Engine Optimization. I currently work as an SEO Manager, but my roots are in I.T. engineering.
I recently hit a crossroad. While mentoring a group of 4-5 SEO interns, I realized that explaining complex technical concepts like heading hierarchies, schema validation, and metadata was taking up more time than the actual auditing.
Instead of just giving them another checklist, I decided to put my dev hat back on. I built a privacy-first SEO Health Checker extension to help them (and me) visualize technical gaps on any webpage instantly.
A few things I’ve learned on this "Maker" journey so far:
Localization matters: I recently added support for 11 languages to my extension. It’s a game-changer for global SEO.
Entity Building: Beyond tools, I’ve been exploring "Author Authority" by publishing a book on Google Play called Modern Off-Page SEO Book.
Privacy First: In 2026, building lightweight tools that don't scrape user data isn't just a feature; it's a necessity.
I’m here to learn from all of you and help out where I can. If you are a founder working on a landing page and need a quick "SEO gut check" or advice on how to structure your site for Google, feel free to drop a comment!
Quick question for the fellow makers: Do you prioritize technical SEO during your launch phase, or do you focus entirely on social distribution first?
