Stop procrastinating at the “freeze moment” (we built Focido as a duo)
Solving procrastination with real human accountability: we’re two people building Focido, a mobile app for the moment you look at a task and… freeze.
What procrastinators are up against
Procrastination usually isn’t “laziness”, it’s a coping response to stress, fear of failing, or a task that feels too big and fuzzy.
Then the loop hits: you delay, you feel guilty, anxiety spikes, and starting gets even harder.
How Focido helps
Focido is built around a simple idea: less talking, more gentle nudges, so you actually start and finish, not just collect intentions.
The key difference: Focido includes real people who support you and keep you accountable, not quotes or generic reminders.
We focus on tiny next actions and clarity, because “what do I do right now?” is often what breaks the paralysis.
MVP in 1 month, tech stack
The two of us shipped an MVP in one month, iOS/Android plus the core backend, to test the loop: tasks + a human nudge, not another generic to-do app.
Stack: Flutter (Dart) on the client, NestJS (TypeScript) on the backend, Supabase (Postgres + Auth) for database and authentication; CI/CD via Codemagic, deploy on Railway, Prisma ORM, BullMQ + Upstash Redis for async jobs.
Question for the community
What breaks your momentum more often: fear of doing it badly, “too much on my plate,” or having zero external accountability?
