I think all 3 phones look stunning with the glass. I'm torn, and leaning toward the 8+
My first gripe is that I think it's a huge mistake for Apple not have pre-orders for 8/8+/X at the same time. Because I would probably try for the X at midnight, and if shipping was already 2-4 weeks out, I'd be happy pre-ordering the 8+.
Many people will want the X for all the obvious reasons. And many will be disappointed when, come November, they don't have a phone. Because at that point, I don't think I'd want anything.
I have a feeling Friday's pre-orders won't be breaking any records. But what do I know? Maybe the delay in the X is so there have extra time to produce enough to meet the demand.
Also not overly thrilled about having to pay $100 more for my phone this year because there is no 128GB.
Biggest surprise for me was no USB-C on X.

Isn't FaceID a security concern? I believe it is. And animoji, why on earth is it a biggest feature of iPhone X?? I think Apple is running out of ideas and innovations.

@abhij89 I think it's more a demonstration of the face recognition technology. Get past the gimmicky aspect of the demo and think of the possibilities for the tech itself.

@leon_calcutt I believe face recognition is out there for past couple of years. Many android apps are already available for you to use. So this is not ground breaking like how Apple presented it. Also there are way too many cons to this, read more about it here: https://techcrunch.com/2017/09/1...
*Insert android phone* has better design,
*Insert android phone* has had this tech for years already,
*Insert android phone* has a better camera
Alright we get it you like your android phone, sheesh.
Probably more related to the OS than the phone, but integrating a QR reader into the phone's camera opens up opportunities! The lack of native QR readers has always been the reason, I think, that QR codes did not take off since introduction.
Thanks to apps like Snapchat, making QR codes a cultural element of the app use, and more apps adopting it, this has led to a good use case for native integration.
And the phone looks amazing :)

What about the battery...no one is talking about it. Can't they do something about it to last a little long...like 2-3 days...and not 6 hours...wtf
Pros:Bigger, edge to edge screen
Cons:Android features finally are here
