I didn’t set out to build a note app. I built jot because I kept having thoughts that felt… too messy for Notion. Too half-baked for a doc. And definitely not something I wanted to explain to another human. So they’d live in my head. And then come back at 1:43am. Louder. One day I opened my terminal — the place where nothing judges me — and thought: why can’t I just put it here and move on with my life? That’s jot. It’s a single notebook. In the terminal. For nonsense. No tags. No folders. No “organize later” guilt. You write the thought. You press enter. You go back to whatever you were doing.
