Jupitrr Cut is an open-source mobile app for recording polished talking-head videos. Use the built-in teleprompter to read line by line, retake anything, and automatically remove silences. Export a finished video without touching a timeline. Record the video. Skip the edit. Add captions and B-roll later with Jupitrr AI—completely optional. No account wall. GPL-3.0 licensed, with the APK on GitHub and one-tap updates through the App Store and Google Play.

This is Jerome, the co-maker of Jupitrr Cut here — thanks for checking us out. We got tired of filming a talking-head, then sitting in an editor cutting the silence. So we built a recorder, not another editor. Teleprompter on the screen. You talk to the cam, retake any line, silence comes out. You leave with a polished video — no timeline. Also this app is completely local and without AI. I honestly think this is something special in the world of clouds and AI haha. It's open source (GPL-3.0). APK on GitHub Releases. App Store / Play Store is free to download and try out if you are too lazy to download / compile from github especially if you are from the iOS world. You can still compile the iOS build from Github tho. Optional after you already have the video: open the same clip in Jupitrr AI for captions and B-roll. Hey Product Hunt 👋 Today we’re launching Jupitrr Cut — a small but mighty recording app for Reels and talking videos.

Funny enough, this started because we were struggling to record videos ourselves. One of our own users told me to try a teleprompter app, so I did… and I was genuinely amazed 😂

But I kept thinking: this is such a hidden gem, and it could be even easier.

Social video today needs pace, movement, different angles, quick cuts. A single sit-down take just doesn’t cut it anymore.


With Jupitrr Cut, you record scene by scene. Mess up? Redo one scene. Want a new angle? Move and keep going.

Then we automatically jump-cut everything together.
