Hey everyone 👋 Matt here.
I built Keyper after realising how messy (and risky) the way most of us store API keys actually is. I’ve personally had keys sitting in notes apps, Slack messages, random text files… and of course scattered across different .env files.
So I started building something simple: a secure place to store keys and manage project environments properly.
Keyper lets you:
• Store API keys and environment variables securely
• Generate .env files for your projects
• Sync secrets to GitHub Actions
• Access them via a CLI using API tokens
• Quickly grab them from a browser extension
The idea is to make Keyper the place you manage all your project secrets, instead of hunting through different tools every time you need one.
It’s still early, so I’d really appreciate any feedback.
Also curious — where do you currently keep your API keys?
