This is really cool! Kickresume seems like a neat all-in-one solution for job seekers. How has Kickresume started and how many people are there in your team?
Hi @tomas_vysny great question! We put Kickresume together with @peduris back at university when we needed to write a resume for an internship, so we created a very simple tool for us and our friends. In a few months, though, we found Kickresume used by a couple of thousand people! That’s when we decided to move Kickresume to another level. We have seven great people in our team at this time. ✌️

i think you did a great job designing your templates and i really like quite a few of them. maybe you should contact this guy (http://saijogeorge.com/website-b...) and have him add you to his list.
however i would never recommend anybody to use a service like yours. why?
situation A: you're a designer or you do something media related as a job. obviously your resume needs to look something like this, but it also shouldn't come out of a templating engine like kickresume. if you're a designer, i do hope you're capable of designing something like this on your own. if a possible employer finds out that you used a template to style your resume, he will throw it away immediately. why would i hire a designer, who instead of designing something simply used a template? worst idea ever.
situation B: you do not work in the media sector. well, i think your resume shouldnt look like any of this. you need to google "resume" and use the most boring resume template you can find. if you feel creative you may want to go with helvetica instead of times new roman. im serious. many people in HR will hate your for using any kind of fancy templates, because they need a moment longer to understand where they find a certain kind of information. its a myth that a fancy resume will get you the attention you want. people from HR care about the content of your resume and anything that looks fancy, will seem like a cover-up for that D- you got in economics.
this of course is my personal opinion based on what i heard from friends using these kinds of designs and recruiters i talk to. id love to hear your point on this Tomas. anybody in HR has seen designs like this a million times. sure they seen the regular and boring design probably a billion times, but dont think for just a second that a resume like this will make you look special, creative or unique.
Hi @gopietz. All of your points are correct. Kickresume's target groups are young students, fresh graduates or people that wanna change their job after a longer period. It's true that if you are a designer, you might have enough skills to create your own stylish resume. However, that is just a small group of people.
Kickresume currently offers to choose from 19 resume templates, with thousands of possible combinations within customization.
We have prepared stylish resumes for jobs in marketing, bartending, retail...etc; very conservative resume for jobs in business, bank, government, legal, executive...etc; and something between for jobs like administration, customer services, internship, IT...etc. Some of our templates might look like pure text, some of them are full of shapes, images and graphics.
However, the priority of all templates is readability, structure and standing out from the crowd. We have consulted each template with hundreds of recruiters from top companies. So all job fields and departments might find format they need.
Every day we receive dozens of feedbacks telling us that we help our user to find a job and stand out from hundreds of applicants. As we grow and we still improving our service it's happening more and more often - which makes us very happy.
On the end, I might also say that Kickresume is not only about formatting and lovely stylish resumes. We help users with content, grammar and editing resume by native professionals. Which btw might be also helpful for some designers.
@gopietz I am very glad you asked this question. With Kickresume, we would love to become something more than just mainstream resume builder. We are here to help you stand out and get your dream.
At this time you only seem to support PDF export of resumes. Will you support exporting resumes to Word, Libra Office or having a web version? Will it look the same in Word and online?
@oprostrednik Hey Ondrej, as you can see there are many reasons these days why recruiters advise much job seekers to send PDF resumes. Even the biggest parsing companies like CVlizer or Sovren support PDF parsing. We tested our resumes with CVlizer and it can read 99.9% of the information in your resume.

minor suggestion: it would be awesome to be able to navigate between the templates with LEFT / RIGHT cursors and arrows.
Hi @milan_steskal. There is lot of work to do. We have many plans to improve Kickresume. We're adding new features basically every week. We're planning to cooperate with schools and universities to help the students create a perfect resume to land their internships and dream jobs. Also, we're working on a top secret Kickresume Bot. We have prepared around 50 000 resume phrases, that are ready to use. We will move personal website creation to the next level and also planing other platforms as iOS for example.
@tomaspeniasko thanks Tomas, We are also glad that some people from our home know about Kickresume on Product Hunt

Hey Tomas,
I stumbled upon KickResume few months ago.
I have audited the site and must say that I like resume designs, features, pricing, blog, job board etc. What should I expect next? You guys covered everything.
Any plan to start job fairs, talks in school/college about importance of resume or annual mega event on resume?
Btw, why three Tomas in team. 😂
Hi @kalpeshsingh, thank you so much for your feedback! We are just at the beginning with Kickresume. Our mission is to help young people get a job because unemployment of young people is a huge problem which will be hard to solve. 💪
We are launching Kickresume for Education by the end of this year. All students will get our app totally for free to learn how to write a perfect resume. We tested it with selected universities and the results were great.
We are also developing a matching system which will find you a job according to data in your resume. In other words, it will be ''LinkedIn for young people'' without annoying recruiters. 🙏 You just pick interesting job offer and send resume (or link to personal website) with one click.
It's pretty funny that we have three Tomas in our team. Can you imagine when someone in our office shout ''Hey Tomas...'' 😂😂😂
Hi @joshuapinter. Thanks for your feedback. I think I know where you are pointing with this. Alignments!!! We will set aligns better. You can also edit them while filling resume. However, please feel free to suggest any improvements so we can make Kickresume better for ALL. Some templates might look very, let's say busy, but those are desinged for conservative jobs where you need to include as much information as possible on one page. 💭
I cannot tell you how much this would help people. As an ex recruiter in my early days, excellent candidates had extremely poor CV's despite being hugely talented. This really shines them in a new light and gives people a significant edge... it's about time resume's looked interesting instead of being boring black and white!
Hi @b4dp4ck. Exactly you said. It's just about time resume's looked interesting instead of being boring black and white! Than Kickresume came and have opened a door to those who don't have so much information to write in resume (young graduates, never employed) or just need to show what to write or just check grammar. First things first. It's content, design, structure and grammar. This is the most important we think we can help all users with.

Very nice product! Quick and easy to work with. Though I would like to see more fresh design templates insipred by Indian culture. By the way, how many users do you currently have?
Thank you @najsamfilip!
We have more than 200K active users (400K together with unregistered users) from all over the world. So, to date, we’ve had more than 400,000 resumes downloads.
