Komo Search leverages generative AI to put your search journeys first, instead of a laundry list of links.
[Chat] Deep dive, brainstorm or discuss topics.
[Explore] See what the community is talking about.
[Search] Get quick answers or links to resources.
Hi everyone,
Navigating information today is like finding a needle in a haystack, which are riddled with ads and UI clutters. That is why we are building Komo Search, a search engine that does not put links in the center, but your unique search journeys, and provide options to chat, explore and search.
Komo currently offers the following features:
π¬ Chat: Dive deeper, brainstorm, or discuss topics with up-to-date information, sources and structured answers. Komo understands the context of the dialogue and leverage retrieval to augment the freshness and factuality of the large language model generation.
πΊοΈ Explore: See what the community is talking about. Currently, we support communities from Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, Quora, Medium, and Twitter, with more to come!
π Search: Get quick answers or links to resources.
Seeking information is a journey in which sometimes we might want to dive deeper, and sometimes we might want to go broader. With Komo, you could easily switch the modes at any point of your search journeys!

We'd love to hear your feedback and if you like it, please share it with your friends and on social media! π

I just love it man. It's so convenient and it it gives more specific result. Thank You.
@simon_s_j Great idea! Having it on site to answer questions about the site is actually what we are building now! Stay tuned :)

@fangting1031 oh... fantastic! what are you thinking of doing in relation to where a site owner would like to feature their own content first and other sites second or block certain sites etcetera? are you thinking of having it tileable in this way or purely agnostic? and how best can I keep informed when this development is available?
@simon_s_j We are thinking to limit the data for search and generation only from the site owner, but great idea as well to have other sites' data, though I might want to understand more about your use cases. Are you free for a quick chat?
For the development updates, we haven't set up beta user list yet, but if you could shoot us a short message at admin@komo.ai with your contact info, we will surely keep you updated when it is in beta testing!

@fangting1031 Hi Angela, Yes I think my preference would be to have my site results first, followed by the option (and it needs to be an option as some users won't want it) to include 'You may also be interested in' and present other site results. Then, just to pre-empt people asking (!) it might be an idea to have a 'whitelist' (sites that, if there are a relevant result for the query, are prioritised in this 'other' results eg: I might want to whitelist wikipedia) and 'blacklist' (which might be sites I consider competitor or unreliable/low quality I do not want to recommend to my readers).
I will DM you my use case just for your interest......
I have also sent an email to be kept informed of dev updates!
@harish_uthayakumar Thanks for the question! Currently we are not running a lot of servers for it but it is easy to scale it up if we the traffic goes up, so to ensure low latency of search.

When this has worked itβs been great. Unfortunately it very rarely seems to give results now, just error messages.
