We added a $1 Day Pass instead of a free trial — here's why
Most resume builders do the same thing: let you build your resume for free, then paywall the download. Reddit's r/Scams has entire threads about it.
We went a different direction with KraftCV:
PDF export is free. Always. No watermark, no paywall, no "$2.95 trial" that
auto-renews at $24/mo
Instead of a free trial, we added a $1 Day Pass — 24 hours of full Pro access. Use it the night before a big application, get everything you need, done - There's also a $39 Lifetime Deal if you're in an active job search
A few things PH folks might find fun to try:
1. Share a job posting from your android phone, get an instant match score. KraftCV is a PWA — when you see a job on LinkedIn or anywhere, hit your phone's Share button and share it to KraftCV. It scrapes the posting, runs it against your resume, and shows your match score + skill gaps. No copy-pasting.
2. Built-in ATS scanner (Jobscan charges $49/mo for this). Ours runs entirely client-side — Porter stemming, alias resolution (JS = JavaScript, K8s = Kubernetes), TF-IDF ranking — zero API calls.
3. AI Metric Coach. Developers are terrible at quantifying impact. Instead of "Improved performance," the coach asks probing questions and helps you write "Reduced API response time by 40% (800ms to 480ms), serving 50K daily requests."
Curious what the community thinks — what's the one thing you wish resume builders did better?
