Most email marketing tools became bloated. So I built a simpler one.
1/ I’m launching something on Product Hunt soon.
For the past month I’ve been building Letterbase — an email campaign platform focused on simplicity.
No bloated marketing automation.
No confusing dashboards.
Just sending campaigns, managing contacts, and understanding your analytics.
Here’s the story 👇
2/ I kept noticing the same pattern with email tools.
They start simple…
then slowly become overloaded with features most people never use.
If all you want is to send campaigns and track results, many tools feel unnecessarily complex.
That frustration is what led me to build Letterbase.
3/ The goal behind Letterbase is simple:
• Manage contacts easily
• Send campaigns reliably
• Understand your analytics clearly
Without forcing users through a maze of enterprise features.
Sometimes the best product is the one that removes things, not adds them.
4/ I also made a decision early on:
Instead of polishing it forever in private, I’d ship early and improve in public.
Right now the product is already ~90% complete and fully functional.
The Product Hunt launch is about getting feedback and improving from there.
5/ Building this as a solo developer has been intense but fun.
One thing that genuinely helped a lot: Cursor.
It made iteration faster and allowed me to stay focused on building instead of getting stuck in small friction points.
6/ If you're someone who runs newsletters, email campaigns, or just likes trying new tools, I’d love your thoughts.
Product Hunt launch coming very soon 🚀
