Loom was the only video recording tool + browser extension I came across that let me record for free, without any watermarks. The export/download video feature was also really helpful for my usecase.

Pros:

Super easy to get going, no watermarks, easy export feature

Cons:

none as of now!

Grisha Kotlyar

Excellent idea and solid implementation.

I've been looking for a long time for a similar solution and Loom finally meets my expectations when it comes to the smooth video recording. The only con I can name so far is the video quality and also unavailability of choosing the specific part of the screen to record.

Pros:

– Easy to use interface

– Fast & smooth processing

– Ability to share the password protected links to videos

Cons:

– The video quality still have its limits (blurry on retina)

– Unavailability of picking the specific part to record

Awesome update, starting using Loom was gamechanger for our communication inside the company. Making product-updates, demos, bug-reporting became frictionless. Great to see 2.0 coming!

One of my favourite apps that I’ve been using since practically day 1! It’s now a core part of the operating stack at all of our startups. Kudos to the whole team for listening to user feedback and focusing dev efforts on producing a high quality, easy to use, indispensable utility. A great case study for all the budding startups out there

This is great app. Previously I used to use Bandicam to record. But since meeting Loom everything has changed. I only use Loom to record, very satisfied, professional, easy and quality.

Congratulations @_shahedk @vhmth Super cool to watch the product evolve from the start! Been able to use it for so many different use cases from sending video tutorials to Commaful users to sending notes or instructions to friends or co-workers. It is by FAR the easiest tool I've come across for creating a quick video. What I'm most impressed by is how fast the video is ready......like 0 processing time? What? The video is literally ready the second I finish recording. How is that even possible? There is definitely some magic fairy dust involved somewhere in this product. Love the new updates. Video trimming, in particular, is going to be big for me. I often had to re-record because I messed up at the start or cut too late. Trimming will make things perfect. Great work team!

Great timing! I literally had "find modern screencap software" on my to-do list. The webcam footage in the 2.0 youtube video announcement looks super choppy though, is that normal?
Shahed Khan
@rossdcurrie Glad our paths crossed ;-) Brittany used two versions of our extension to record that video. It normally isn't choppy the way you see it when you record your webcam on a Tab recording. Give it a try and let me know what you think! :)

Been with these guys from the beginning. The tool rocked then and keeps getting better if that is possible!

Pros:

Easy and fast to use. No need to upload videos after making them -- they're already right there in your panel ready to send to your team.

Cons:

Every once in awhile I have to restart Chrome because something doesn't work.
