Loom for Desktop is the world's most powerful video recorder.

I use Loom several times a day to communicate with my clients and absolutely love it. It makes my life so much easier. The ease of use allows me to quickly jump on, outline something to my client and send to them. What might take me 20mins to explain in an email with screenshots can be done in 5mins with Loom - if not less.
Pros:
Easy of use, amazing customer service, constantly improving
Cons:
Tiny distortion of visual recording quality but minor (and something I know they are working on)
There are plenty of screen recorders but none are as streamlined as Loom for going from recording to sharing your video. Plus, I haven't had any bugginess unlike some recorders I've tried. It even works on our Chromebook!
Pros:
Super simple, works well, streamlined for sharing
Cons:
Nothing other than features I could dream of adding 🙃
@vladkorobov great questions! We're planning on building our internal audio from applications into the Desktop App, so good news is, that's coming! Time limiting with the Desktop App will be something that we'll look into addressing as we move forward, right now with the extension, you'll be able to take advantage of free and unlimited recording. Happy to chat further if you've got some more questions! Feel free to send me a message!

Loved it, is there a plan to create more editing capabilities for polished videos, something like Screenflow or Camtasia?
@goldy_arora We're always improving and there will be a additional editing features along with tons more that we're planning to build out. In terms of specific features, what is most important to you for editing?
@ian_russell I haven't used it a lot but I have used it for internal documentation of a process / workflow. So easy to use.

This is one service that I would really hate to lose. My work productivity would suffer, and the project would suffer. Using quick videos for QA purposes in game testing lets me do in a 1 or 2 minute video what I would have to type out in long form. It's direct for everyone involved.
Pros:
So very simple to use, slack integration, well thought out UI, smart all around
Cons:
For me and the work I do I find no cons.

Absolutely love everything about loom. We use it daily with our tech support and it's changed the game in terms of communication with our users. Excited to see how the desktop app pans out! Thanks so much Loom.
@ben_cap so cool to hear stories like this! It really does change the game in terms of support. Has your team explored any other uses cases for Loom? Curious to know if you find it primarily as a support tool. Thanks!

@ian_russell Hey Ian - we do also use loom for bug reporting as well. Loom allows great transparency and communication between our support and dev team. Can't praise it enough. Thanks again!

I've been using Loom since it first launched (before it was called Loom) and it's been one of the most incredible, mind blowing, time saving, professional assets that I use for my business. I rely on it as much as I rely on email. I simply cannot wait until the release of the Desktop Application and expect great things. @_shahedk, any way to skip the waiting list? I'm itching to use this...
@gregstone14 HUGE words, love hearing all of this and how much it makes an impact. So cool to hear. We'll make sure we've got you covered Greg, thanks for the support from the start!!

Our team have used it for 3 weeks and I've lost count of the amount of colleagues who have praised the videos we create with it.

I adore this product

Yet another company that pretends to offer something to educational institutions but doesn't even make the slightest attempt to cater for the non US market...
