Seems like they are trying to make it even harder to use apps they don't develop. Time for an antitrust investigation.

@boblucore how? You can still download online.

@kreevers My understanding, which is perhaps a misimpression, is that even apps downloaded online will have to pass a "vetting" from Apple before they will be able to run in Catalina. If you download a non-AppStore app that has not passed the appropriate tests, it won't run.

@boblucore it’s similar to the current settings just beefier in security. If you go in your system preferences an remove the strict validations you just get the warning prompts.

I dont know maybe tim Cook is high on some stuff because everytime they launch a small feature, they seem to be so happy as if its a total disrupting feature nobody has ever seen before...

@arihantdaga Their goal is adding a bunch of features to make it intuitive not just a bunch of features that "exist". Big difference

update: don't get the beta, I get ~2 hours of battery life on my 15inch mbp and it jumped from 14%-->7% to off lol... I like playing with the dictation interaction though
