Hey Maven team! Congratulations on your launch! I would be glad to learn more about your platform! Currently, I'm hosting my own live course on product management, which is going quite well. I would love to try out your platform with your platform, but not sure that it suits creators without a profound audience, like me. From your perspective, does it suit people who're just starting their journey with course creation?
Runqiu (Rachel) Cai
@nikita_abrosimov1 Hey Nikita, we have lots of experienced creators who moved their courses from other platforms, and absolutely loved the simplicity of ours. One of our top instructors Sameer Singh (https://twitter.com/sameer_singh...) had a successful course that grew 4x after he moved it to Maven. Two reasons why our platform is well-suited for experienced instructors: 1. We take a lot of admin/ops off your plate because of our pre-built templates and thoughtful defaults. When you free up your brain from worrying about whether your Zapier automations are going to break, you can focus on growing your course. For example: - No more setting up email funnels/campaigns -> Maven has default campaigns and tracks conversion for you (and has default copy that is written by our marketing team) - No more Typeform/Google form -> Maven has pre-built surveys - No more hacking Squarespace/Wix -> Maven has an easy to use landing page builder - No more setting up Slack/Discord from scratch every time -> Maven has integrated community that you can spin up with 1 click 2. Another reason is the power of Maven's Marketplace. We're the biggest marketplace for live learning with thousands of students browsing our website each day. This is driving students for top instructors like you. In fact, ~30% of enrollments are coming from the marketplace today (and growing). Hope you'll try the platform! Looks and feels fantastic. Congrats on the launch. @?makers does the course builder include live streaming out of the box? (i.e. alternative to Zoom)? Or does one have to integrate Zoom?
Rishin Banker
@ahmedsaleh Thanks for the support! The live sessions happen mostly in Zoom, but our integration takes away most of the administrative burden. When you integrate your Zoom account, we'll automatically create unique Zoom links for each event, record the session, and post the recording in your syllabus for students to access later. We may explore an alternative to Zoom in the future, but for now, instructors and students seem to appreciate the reliability and familiarity of Zoom.

@rishbank Makes sense. Congratulations!

I made my first course on Udemy 10 years ago when it was still in its infancy and have experienced two lasting things: 1/ I still make a cup of coffee's worth of money on that course per month to this day. This blows my mind, especially considering the audio/video quality of it was so bad and it wasn't exactly about a hard-skill you could use right away (creativity). I learned that distribution does make a difference and Udemy delivered on this. 2/ the process of making that course was so taxing that I never thought I could muster up the courage and energy to do it all over again. And sure enough, I have yet to produce another course after that. And now I find myself with Maven back where I was sort of was with Udemy. Only the Maven team has learned A LOT since then (and I may have forgotten much of the pains of creating a course). So now that this self-builder tool is in our hands AND with the ability to interact with students, I again have to ask myself: is this going to be the year I finally create another course? I don't know! But what I do know is that the team behind this is so strong and the thought behind this so compelling that I'm feeling excited about the prospect of doing it again. So who knows - I might see you in a course nearby :)

@alirtariq Yesssss do it Ali!
Runqiu (Rachel) Cai
@alirtariq Ali, I love this comment. Trust me that creating a cohort-based course on Maven is lightyears easier than what you went through 10 years ago. You'll have more fun interacting with students too. Hope to see your course on our marketplace soon enough!
