🧠 How do you give your agents context on a big repo?

Every new session...

I end up explaining the same project again hehe

Where the files are.

What we decided last week.

What not to touch.

Some days it feels like onboarding a new intern every hour :)

So I'm curious:

Do you keep a context file for your agents?

Do you let them read the whole repo or only parts?

Or do you just accept the repeat explaining?..

Keep the decisions the agent cannot infer from code, especially why an approach was rejected. File paths are easy to rediscover. An outdated decision is harder to spot, so date those notes and replace them when the decision changes.
