murmur got the ElevenLabs startup grant

A small but very nice update from the murmur corner of the internet:

A week after launch on Product Hunt, murmur got the ElevenLabs startup grant! Given that it's built around practicing awkward, important, and often slightly dreadful phone calls out loud, this feels especially fitting.

Just wanted to say thank you again to everyone here who supported the launch, upvoted it, commented, or gave it a try. Product Hunt gave the app a real push early on, and this is one of those moments that makes the whole thing feel a bit more real.

The grant should help me keep improving the voice side of the experience and give the app a bit more room to grow without immediately putting the brakes on everything.

Anyway - thank you for the early support. Genuinely appreciated!

P.S
The latest version of murmur is here - unlimited practice calls across all subscription tiers, 30+ new roleplay scenarios, and a more finely tuned feedback engine.

Congrats on the ElevenLabs grant!! Very well deserved. The concept of practicing difficult calls before making them is essentially exposure therapy packaged in a way people will actually use, which is harder to pull off than most people realize.

I build in a similar space. Strua is an evidence-based mental health tools app built around the techniques clinicians teach in session (CBT, DBT, grounding). Different angle but the same core belief: the tools that work in clinical settings should be accessible outside of them.

Curious how the voice feedback engine handles emotional escalation in the roleplay — does the AI push back harder as the scenario intensifies, or does it stay calibrated to the user's comfort level?
