What’s on your daily checklist (outside of work)?
We’re usually very good at creating to-do lists for work.
But what about everything outside of work?
I’ve started turning my personal habits into a checklist to build discipline and make these habits non-negotiable over time.
Here’s mine:
15 minutes of meditation
Read at least 10 pages of a book
Read one English article (any topic)
Take notes on new vocabulary from that article
Go for a run or work out
Learn knitting
Practice writing Python
I can't do all of these every day although I really want. However my time budge has limits.
Instead, I pick what fits my schedule that day. If I’ve done some today, I’ll prioritize the others tomorrow.
For me, the most important part is consistency just keeping these habits alive over time.
What about you?
Do you have a daily (non-work) checklist or personal habits you try to maintain? 👀✨

Hi Mona, absolutely. And for me its not just personal habits I want to build on, but also other tasks apart from work that I try to maintain checklists and reminders for. However, despite maintaining checklists and reminders I find myself ignoring them from time to time, mostly due to procrastination. 😅 And this especially happens with the reminders I set for myself like pay these bills early but I just end up ignoring or clearing the reminders and then complete those tasks at the last moment, which is very frustrating haha.
Outside work, I focus on mental clarity. Meditation, stretching and learning something small every day. Some days it's a podcast, other days it's a page from a book. I rotate habits based on time, just like you mentioned.

@itohan_blessing_eigbadon Tiny things will make the big change. Try to not break those habits.

@aarocket you are really good at spending time for your kids while also taking time for yourself. Love it
I love this!
I’m also knitting;
writing my book;
I’ve recently started doing some sports and paying more attention to my back. feeling proud of myself for that!
I’m also learning German which is challenging but fun :)
@monatruong_murror by the way, how’s your knitting going so far? Do you knit with needles or crochet? I love it so much myself, it’s so calming and relaxing

@natallia_novik I've just learning it recently. I'm practicing knitting a scraf. It's really hard for the first time, I had to unravel and re-knit many times, but it teaches me how to keep patient lol.
@monatruong_murror I couldn’t agree more
Something I have come to love is journaling over the past few years. I take at least 30 minutes to write a simple or complex problem I am trying to navigate, an affirmation to follow that problem, and a closing sentence to reflect on. After I finish, I let my body process the emotion so I can tune in to where I carry it. It took me over an hour when I first started this process, but now I have found a great pattern, and it is my form of meditation.
