I was inspired by the "Subscription Fatigue" and the mental overhead that comes with being a solo professional. Most tools are either built for massive teams (like Jira) or focused purely on one niche like accounting. I wanted to create a "Mate"—a supportive, friendly partner in the freelancer's success—that makes managing a business feel less like a chore The core problem is the fragmented workflow where freelancers have to jump between a CRM for clients, Trello for tasks, Google Drive for files, and PayPal for tracking payments. MyFreelancerMate solves this by bridging the gap between project execution and financial health in one unified workspace. I also specifically addressed the need for "Stealth-View" technology to protect sensitive work from unauthorized downloads and scraping during the sharing process My process evolved from building a simple tool to designing a complete "Operating System for Freelancers". While the initial focus was on task management, it quickly became clear that financial clarity—tracking deposits and pending payments—was the most valuable part of the stack for a solo pro. This led to a technical shift toward a robust, high-performance stack using React and Supabase to ensure data integrity and security.

@lordpaoloo Really like the Stealth-View file sharing and the combo of tasks + financial tracking. Good luck with the launch!

@olia_nemirovski Thanks so much, Olia! Glad the Stealth-View caught your eye—it was born out of too many stories of freelancers seeing their work scraped before the final invoice was paid.

Combining the 'doing' (tasks) with the 'getting paid' (finances) was the only way I could think of to truly kill that mental overhead for solo pros. Best of luck with your work at Tobira.ai as well!

Congrats with the launch!

@polina_seminaThanks so much for the support, Polina! Truly appreciate it. 🙏

Building MyFreelancerMate has been a journey of trying to simplify the 'business' side of being a solo pro, so I'm excited to finally have it out there. Best of luck with everything you're doing over at Agentplace as well!

That looks really thoughtful – freelancing always turns into a messy mix of notes, invoices, follow-ups, and "where did I put that file")) I like how you're trying to bring it all in one place! If I start using it this week, what's the simplest setup you recommend so I can get value fast without migrating everything?

Yousef Mohamad

@nikita_blinov1 Thanks, Nikita! That 'messy mix' is exactly what I’m trying to solve. You definitely don’t need to move your whole life over to see the benefit.

To get value fast this week, I’d recommend this 3-minute setup:

  • Start with your next 'Small Win': Create a single project for a task you're starting tomorrow. Use the Granular Task Management to list out your daily bread-and-butter to-dos just for that one client.

  • Test-drive 'Stealth-View': Next time you need to share a sensitive file or draft, use the Secure Protected Sharing feature. It takes seconds to upload, and you can instantly toggle on the anti-scraping and watermarking to keep your work safe while it's in review.

  • Track one pending payment: Instead of a full accounting sync, just log your next expected invoice in the Financial Dashboard. It gives you an immediate visual of your 'pending' health without needing to import months of history.

Would love to hear which of those feels most useful for your workflow!
