Neutral News AI - Your personal BS-meter for every headline.

by
Stop guessing. Start auditing. In 2026, news is a minefield. Neutral News AI provides "X-ray vision" via a Chrome extension that audits text in real-time to reveal hidden narratives. The Audit: Bias Mapping (political spectrum), BS-Meter (credibility score), Tone Analysis (info vs. outrage), and Clickbait detection. Insights appear natively via in-page overlay. Privacy-first: We audit the news, not you. No browsing history is ever stored or tracked. Decode the spin and get the facts!

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Marcell Lunczer and we built Neutral News AI because we realized we were spending more time wondering "what’s the catch?" than actually learning from what we were reading. In 2026, headlines are optimized for outrage, not clarity. My team and I wanted to build a "Nutrition Label" for the internet. A tool that shows you the "skeleton" of a story (its bias, tone, and credibility etc.) without breaking your flow or telling you what to think. For the Tech-Curious ⚙️ We didn’t want another sluggish AI wrapper. We developed custom-built models and proprietary pipelines specifically tuned for lexical analysis and narrative mapping. Access: Because it audits what you see on your screen, it works perfectly on paywalled sites. Privacy: We audit the news, not you. No browsing history is ever stored or sold. We need your help! 🎯 Media literacy is a moving target. You can try Neutral News AI for free starting today, and we’d love for you to stress-test it on your daily reads. We’re looking for honest feedback: 1. Accuracy: Does our "BS-Meter" align with your gut feeling on a specific article? 2. The "Must-Have": Which signal (Bias, Credibility, Sentiment) is most valuable to you? I’ll be here in the comments all day to talk tech, media bias, or anything in between. Can't wait to hear your thoughts! Stay neutral, Marcell & NNAI Team

Hey Product Hunt! 👋📰

I’m Márton, one of the founders of Neutral News AI.

We built Neutral News AI because reading the news started feeling like detective work 🕵️‍♂️ Before you can even think about what a story means, you first have to ask: is this framing loaded, is the sourcing weak, or is this just designed to provoke a reaction?

Neutral News AI helps with that. Our browser extension analyzes articles in real time and surfaces signals like bias, credibility, quality, sentiment, and subjectivity right where you read. ⚖️

The goal is simple: not to tell you what to think, but to help you think more clearly and faster.

We’d really love your feedback 💬

  1. Does the analyzer feel accurate on the articles you already read every day?

  2. Which signal is most useful to you: bias, credibility, sentiment, or something else?

  3. Where does it miss nuance, overreach, or just get in your way?

I’ll be around in the comments, so please stress-test it and tell us what you really think 🚀

Márton & the NNAI team

Pure news. Zero bias.

very interesting product! It'd be great to have an URL Scanner too, like a webpage where I can input an article URL to get it check. I don't really like chrome extension on my end. Anyway, keep up with the good work and congrats on the launch!

@ant0ine_gt Hello, we really appreciate your feedback! Actually on our website we have this feature where you can paste a link and get the same analysis as in our extension. You can find it here: https://neutralnewsai.com/analyzer

Hi Product Hunt!

We built Neutral News AI because we kept running into the same frustrating question:
“How do I know this is actually true?”

In a world where AI increasingly shapes what we read, the real problem isn’t just bias: it’s invisible bias. We built Neutral News AI to make news actually inspectable:

  • trace every claim back to its source

  • uncover the context that usually stays hidden

  • see how the same story shifts across perspectives

👉 With Neutral News AI, we focus on:

  • 🔍 Source-level transparency (see where every claim comes from)

  • ⚖️ Bias detection across multiple outlets

  • 🧠 Context surfacing, not just summaries, but what’s not being said

  • 🧩 Evidence-based AI (no black-box outputs)

We’re not replacing journalism, we’re making it easier to trust again.

💬 What do you think?

  • Would you use this as a reader?

  • Or more as a journalist / researcher tool?

  • What’s the biggest “trust gap” you feel when consuming news today?

We’ll be here all day, ask anything, challenge anything 🙌
