I like the intention and idea but I'm not sure how it's more "independent" than any other news companies because Newsvoicedotcom AB is a company that has expenses and incentives etc - how can I be sure you're never going to skew the news based on monetary incentives / sell my data? What's the business model here and how can I be sure that I can trust you now and in the future? I'd be far more convinced if this was an open source protocol / decentralized autonomous organization that nobody controls...

@alxcnwy Hi Alex, we guarantee our independence by being very open with how our algorithms work, and being transparent with how we moderate our content. The goal is to fund Newsvoice with contributions from the community, we are not quite there yet, but hope to be over the next year!

It's somewhat complicated to release a product like Newsvoice as open source as it includes many different components which will be audited in detail before the release. In the mean time, we should probably post key parts of our algorithms on our page for transparency. 2. Yes, we are for profit. My initial thought was to make it as a non-profit, but the conclusion was that having a solid business plan will greatly increase the chance for success.

Once we convince NV to remove the few "Fakenews" sources that have proved their need to lie repeatedly, and harm or right to Free Speech, this will be the place to come to get news you can trust.
