Newton is back baby! After a few shutdowns and multiple owners, Newton is back with it's first major update. Your favorite email experience is now in the hands of two of its biggest fans and we couldn't be more excited to show you what we've been up to.

Maitrik and I have been long time Newton fans and are super excited to launch this major update under our new ownership. We've completely re-written the Windows app, added Dark Mode, fixed hundreds of bugs and optimized the shiiiit out of this app. We know some of you might not even know Newton never shut down, so this launch is a chance for us to show you what we've been doing since we acquired it in April. Definitely give the app another shot, especially if you're a little apprehensive about paying $30/month for Superhuman. Newton's been my ride or day since the CloudMagic days and I'm so excited to be able to keep using it and share it with all of you.

@jmitch looks solid, can you talk about the tech for the Windows and other app? Is it Electron for Windows?

@jmitch @mike_seekwell yep. It was electron before too, but was just kinda a dumpster fire. We took all the learnings from Yac and rebuilt the Windows app for Newton with them. So much better now

I’m surprised that Newton with its pricey renting model and after this many shutdowns still has any enthusiasts ;)

Paid for this product for years and jumped on it as soon as I saw it had been resurrected.... again. I've used Superhuman for 6 months, I tried Hey.com... Newton is hands down the best email client out there. LOVE. IT.

@moussa_beidas_ yep it’s being worked on. It’s up to Apple to approve us though so we are waiting to hear back

@inkstrategies realistically, not majorly different. That’s on purpose. It’s massively more stable and now has dark mode and a host of other upcoming features
