Not Depressing News 2.0 - News interface with all negative news filtered-out

Sadly becoming more and more necessary with something like this. Mainstream media just loves pushing negative news.

It's not good to shut out negative news completely, but I think it's obvious to anyone these days that we are being bombarded with too much negativity. Definitely could use something like this to just take a break from all the sadness at times.

Looks like a hardcore duty nowadays :) Would like to know how do you make the filtering and if would it be possible to modify the news's sources, thanks & congrats!

On opening the site, I see no data and some never-ending process going on.

Always a fan for spreading good news. For too long have news corporations been competing for fearful news headlines and stories which doesn’t give uplifting news which people need to see more.

Maybe change the name to Positive News? :)

This site has a lot of negative news. I am not sure what algorithm they are using but it kinda sucks. Here is first example headline "Man Accused Of Shooting 6 Philadelphia Police Officers Was Federal Snitch", then this one: "The US deficit is set to top $1 trillion 2 years sooner than expected | Markets Insider" then this one: "Doctors used their own sperm to impregnate women instead of using the sperm donor the women had selected". The results are kinda depressing. #ai_failure

Awesome idea. I reckon the only challenge would be how these news are filtered/screened because "not depressing news" is subjective.
