Reqord - Git-native requirements management for the AI coding era

by
Reqord stores requirements as structured YAML + Markdown inside your Git repo — version-controlled alongside your code. No SaaS, no backend needed. It enforces traceability: Requirement → Specification → GitHub Issue, with a feedback loop flowing insights back upstream. • SMART quality scoring for requirements • PR-based approval workflow • AI-ready context across sessions • Web dashboard & Claude Code plugin

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I built Reqord because I kept running into the same problem: AI coding tools are incredibly powerful, but they start every session without knowing what you're building or why. Requirements live in Notion pages, Slack threads, and people's heads. When you ask an AI to implement something, it has no structured context about your project's requirements, specifications, or design decisions. Every session starts from scratch. Reqord fixes this by storing requirements as structured data (YAML + Markdown) right inside your Git repository. Your requirements are version-controlled alongside your code, and AI tools can read them directly. The core idea is simple: 1. Write requirements in a structured format 2. Link them to specifications and implementation tasks 3. Let AI tools consume this context automatically No SaaS vendor lock-in. No monthly fees. Just files in your repo that travel with your code. It's still early (v0.1.0), and I'd love your feedback. What's working? What's missing? Let me know!
