Why do you need a phone number to sign up?

@drewbkoch Because we link your account to your partners by using your phone number, this allows us to sync accounts in a way that would not be possible with email alone

I don’t know… I’m not excited about the prospect of turning a real-life relationship into something to carefully plan and analyze with statistics. Each separate feature of the app would make a useful standalone app, in my opinion, but bundling them all together seems to me like encouraging people to micromanage everything about their relationship, instead of letting most things flow organically.

@anna_0x Makes total sense how you feel because we don’t want to make relationships statistical. Our goal is to enhance communication in ways that people haven't been able to in the past. Each feature could honestly be a standalone app and we have considered that, but having each as its own app would cause fragmentation and wouldn't allow you to have everything saved to one place unfortunately
